Here’s a fantastic opportunity for young girls who love rugby league and the Vodafone Warriors.

With the NRL’s Women in League round approaching, the club is breaking new ground by running a two-day girls-only footy clinic from 9.00am-3.00pm on July 21 and 22.

Based at the John Walker Lounge at Mount Smart Stadium #2, the clinic is for girls aged from seven to 13 years old.

It will include skills and drills run by Kiwi Ferns players and modified games run by Auckland Rugby League female referees. Some Vodafone Warriors NRL players will make guest appearances during the clinic.

“With the NRL’s Women in League round just around the corner, this clinic is a great opportunity for young girls,” said Vodafone Warriors community coordinator and current Kiwi Fern Georgia Hale.

“It’s open to all girls aged seven to 13 regardless of whether they play rugby league or haven’t played it. It’s just a great chance to have a special rugby league experience.”

To indicate your interest in the clinic please email memberships@warriors.kiwi with your details. A registration form will be returned for you to complete. The event costs $150 with giveaways included.

Participants will need to bring a healthy lunch, a big drink of water, a can-do attitude and wear as much Vodafone Warriors gear as possible.
