Ken Maumalo makes his NRL debut at last today coming in as a late replacement on the left wing for club great Manu Vatuvei in the Vodafone Warriors' 10th-round NRL clash against Parramatta at Pirtek Stadium.

Maumalo (20) was selected to make his first NRL appearance in the Vodafone Warriors' opening round encounter with the Newcastle Knights only to be ruled out after picking up a hamstring injury in the final team run on the eve of the match.

Since recovering from the injury he has played four games for the club's New South Wales Cup side, scoring three tries. He was in the NYC premiership-winning Vodafone Junior Warriors side last year.

He was presented with his first jersey by Vatuvei today.

Vatuvei made significant progress from the sternum injury which forced him off the field against the Sharks last weekend but ultimately didn't recover sufficiently to play his 10th match of the year.
