Vodafone Warriors players and staff have been spreading festive season cheer in the community in myriad ways from wrapping presents to supporting the annual Kidz First Christmas party, playing secret Santa and more.

On Thursday night they were together in big numbers at the exclusive annual Christmas barbecue for members at Mount Smart Stadium, the latest in a series of Yuletide activities over the past few weeks.

On Wednesday NRL players Sione Lousi and David Fusitu’a supported charity partner KidsCan by wrapping presents at St Lukes while last month Lousi and Fusitu'a were alongside the bulk of the club’s NRL squad giving Kidz First Children’s Hospital day care patients some joy at the annual Kidz First Christmas party at SKYCITY.

Konrad Hurrell, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Solomone Kata and Ken Maumalo joined in the fun at the Onehunga Santa Parade on November 29 while Ben Matulino and Glen Fisiiahi were out recently playing secret Santa by paying for customers’ purchases at the Mad Butcher’s Mount Wellington store.

On November 26 Sam Rapira, Jacob Lillyman, Matt Allwood and Sam Lisone joined sponsors, suppliers, corporate members, club management and staff at the Vodafone Warriors’ annual commercial Christmas party at SKYCITY.

A Christmas messages video from senior players Shaun Johnson, Nathan Friend and Matulino has been shared exclusively with Vodafone Warriors members and will soon be published through the club’s online and social media channels. Hurrell, Fisiiahi and Lisone have also combined in another festive season video which will be published next week.

Tomorrow the Vodafone Warriors gather en masse – all players, staff, partners and families – for the club’s annual Christmas party as the year draws towards a close.

The players, football department and some staff will work through to December 19 before the office is closed. It officially reopens on January 12 but the players resume training on January 5, a little more than three weeks ahead of the Dick Smith NRL Nines (January 31-February 1) and just over four weeks out from the opening NRL trial against Gold Coast in Toowoomba on February 7. The NRL season starts on March 5.
