It’s the ultimate in hand held devices - a mini single serve wine and cup in non-breakable, fully recyclable, PET plastic and now it will be the wine of choice for Vodafone Warriors games at Mount Smart Stadium for 2015 and 2016, says Sileni Estates founder Graeme Avery.

“We’re thrilled that Sileni Estates wines will be sold at the Vodafone Warriors’ home games at Mt Smart Stadium because it raises the bar for wine quality at sports events and provides high quality in a recyclable bottle with its own cup,” he said.

The Nano is available as a Sauvignon Blanc, a Rose (pink) and a Pinot Noir, and it will be served in the Stadium area while other Sileni Estates wines will be served in the lounges and corporate boxes at Vodafone Warriors home games.

“We designed the Nano in response to customers asking us to create a wine bottle with an attachable glass that was easy to hold, light and wouldn’t break or take up too much space,” said Avery.

Vodafone Warriors managing director Jim Doyle welcomed the new dimension Sileni Estates brought to the club’s team of sponsors.

“Sileni Estates is highly-regarded not just for the quality of its wines but also for the innovative approach it has brought to the industry through Graeme and his team,” he said.

“Making the Nano available for our home games next season is a brilliant idea.

“We’re delighted Sileni Estates has joined our sponsorship family and look forward to building a strong partnership.”

The Avery family has a strong affinity with sport. Graeme’s son Nigel won two weightlifting gold medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and his older brother Simon represented New Zealand in surfing.

“Our sporting background makes this partnership a natural fit,” said Graeme.

The partnership gives Sileni Estates’ new Nano (launched in September 2014) exposure to more than 15,000 consumers per match day.

The Vodafone Warriors kick off their 20th anniversary season in March 2015 with the full NRL season draw due to be announced shortly.
