The corporate lounge at Mount Smart has been a hive of activity on game-days and next year it will be especially abuzz, with all 11 home games being played at the venue.

More than 600 people streamed through the doors of the lounge each game-day this season, soaking up all the entertainment and features on offer.

“Having a big crowd in the lounge definitely creates an exciting buzz,” says Corporate Sales Manager Gordon Gibbons. “It’s a great place to come not only for the game, but also for the entertainment before and after the footy.”

In addition to getting premium seating in the East Stand, lounge attendees get a whole raft of benefits and special features to complement the action out on the park.

Prior to this year’s games some of the country’s most notable comedians made an appearance, with Ewen Gilmour, Ben Hurley and Urzila Carlson all stirring laughs among the pundits.

High-profile guests such as James Rolleston and Joseph Parker were also hosted and lounge attendees listened intently to Q&A sessions chaired by Gordon. All the while, corporate guests were treated to a three-course plated meal.

After the final siren players were brought into the lounge to breakdown the on-field action and give the corporate guests unparalleled insights into the match.

Some of Auckland’s best solo artists would take to the stage following this to round out the evening.

The corporate experience at Mount Smart is highly renowned in rugby league circles, with league greats such as Wayne Bennett, Peter Sterling, Robbie Kearns and Laurie Daley all noting the exceptional quality of the service when they have attended in the past.

This experience will be strengthened next year; a year in which the club’s 20th anniversary will be celebrated.
