While the Vodafone Warriors were disappointingly just edged out of the NRL's top eight mix the club's NYC and New South Wales Cup sides are both in finals action as the season hits the business end tonight.

The first of the four NRL finals pits 2013 beaten grand finalist Manly (2) against South Sydney (3) tonight with two more play-offs on tomorrow, first the premiers the Sydney Roosters (1) at home to the side that ended the Vodafone Warriors' hopes - Penrith (4) - and then the focus will be on Townsville with North Queensland (5) taking on Brisbane (8).

The last of the top eight battles sees Melbourne (6) hosting Canterbury-Bankstown (7).

For the Vodafone Warriors the key interest is on Allianz Stadium on Saturday and then Leichhardt Oval on Sunday.

First the club's NYC side begins its seventh straight finals camapign against the Roosters on Saturday (3.00pm kick-off local time) before the Vodafone Warriors (8) take on Illawarra (4) on Sunday with the chance of making the New South Wales Cup's last four teams. The NSW Cup finals kicked off last weekend with the Vodafone Warriors advancing after beating the Mounties 36-28.
