Best-selling author and acclaimed motivational speaker Kaplan Mobray visited Vodafone Warriors HQ this week for a presentation on personal branding for the club’s players.
Kaplan has to date led a successful career consulting to a number of Fortune 500 companies on their marketing, advertising and brand development.
More recently, his work has been dedicated to authoring and motivational speaking on topics ranging from personal branding to leadership, networking and success.
Vodafone Warriors welfare and education manager Jerry Seuseu was able to secure Kaplan to share some of his expertise with the team.
“He spoke about personal brand and how important it is for the modern day athlete and for the team in terms of being aware that it affects the team, the club and the game,” said Seuseu.
“He shared on how you can build that brand and use it to create opportunities for yourself later in terms of employment and networking.”
Vodafone Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson was in the audience and found it to be a useful session.
“It gave us an insight to the other side of footy and what it takes to build a good brand,” he said.
“He reminded us that everything we do reaches a lot more people than what we think.”
Kaplan is a well sought-after speaker, having been featured on CNN, CBS, Fox News and in the Wall Street Journal.
His book ‘The 10ks of Personal Branding’ is a best-seller in the United States and he also has previous experience speaking to high-level athletes, having presented to NFL players before the 2010 Superbowl in Miami.
