An injury-hit Vulcans side was well beaten 48-6 by North Sydney in Saturdays last New South Wales Cup regular season clash at North Sydney Oval.

Battling heavy odds with so many first-choice players missing, the Vulcans went to halftime 6-18 down but couldnt stem an onslaught in the second spell as the Bears ran up 30 points to win with ease.

The match had no bearing on table positions heading into the finals. The Bears remained third and the Vulcans finished as they started the match in sixth spot.
