The Vodafone Junior Warriors younger brigade will be tasked with taking on Brisbane in todays 16th-round NYC clash at Mount Smart Stadium (kick-off 1.45pm; match day sponsor: New Zealand Herald).
Regulars David Bhana, Raymond Faitala-Mariner, Albert Vete and David Fusitua were all promoted to play for the Auckland Vulcans in the New South Wales Cup curtain raiser today.
The fifth-placed Vodafone Junior Warriors will also be without exciting centre Solomone Kata, ruled out with injury. Kata has scored 88 points in 10 matches this year including 11 tries.
In a reshuffled backline Tuimoala Lolohea moves to fullback with Sam Cook named to take his place at standoff.
The last time the two teams met on June 3, the Vodafone Junior Warriors trounced the Broncos 46-20. They followed it up by swamping Manly 52-20 in their most recent outing at home but were undone late in a 26-31 loss to the Sydney Roosters on June 16.
