The world champion Kiwi Ferns, Olympic gold medallist Lisa Carrington, sister city mayors and New Zealand X Factor contestant Taye Williams feature on the game day programme for Sundays 16th-round NRL clash between the Vodafone Warriors and Brisbane at Mount Smart Stadium (match day sponsor: New Zealand Herald).
The NRL match (4.05pm kick-off) is the last of a Super Sunday tripleheader starting with the Auckland Vulcans taking on Cronulla in a New South Wales Cup encounter (11.50am) followed by the NYC contest between the Vodafone Junior Warriors and Brisbane (1.45pm).
The Vodafone Warriors-sponsored Kiwi Ferns will be special guests in the Club Lounge and will also be presented to the crowd hours before they depart for England for the womens Rugby League World Cup tournament.
As well as being introduced to the crowd, the Kiwi Ferns will form a guard of honour for the Vodafone Warriors when they run onto the field for the NRL battle.
Theyre going for their fourth straight triumph having won the trophy all three times it has been contested stretching back to 2000.
Champion Olympic kayaker Carrington will be among the guests in the Club Lounge where shell be interviewed along with rugby league legends Shane Webcke and Allan Langer.
Auckland Mayor Len Brown was Lord Mayor Graham Quirks guest when the Vodafone Warriors met the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on June 3; Quirk has been in Auckland on a reciprocal visit this week. The mayors will be presented to the crowd ahead of the NRL match.
Taye Williams, who attracted a lot of support during TV3s popular X Factor series, will perform for the crowd at halftime in the NRL match.
