As many as 10 contracted Vodafone Warriors players are set to line up for the Auckland Vulcans in their New South Wales Cup encounter with Newcastle at Mount Smart Stadium today (12.05pm kick-off local time).
Among them will be Ngani Laumape and Siliva Havili, both re-signed by the club this week.
While still eligible to play for the Vodafone Junior Warriors in the NYC, theyve both been used almost exclusively at a higher level this season.
Laumape has mixed his appearances between the Vodafone Warriors in the NRL (five games) and the Vulcans; Havili has played once for the Vodafone Junior Warriors in the NYC but has otherwise been a Vulcans regular.
Also in the squad today is another current Vodafone Junior Warrior in winger Viliami Lolohea, listed on the interchange bench.
Named to start in the centres are NRL squad members Dominique Peyroux, only recently back from a lay-off with a broken jaw, and Konrad Hurrell.
Harry Siejka is again at halfback with Charlie Gubb, Alehana Mara, John Palavi and Suaia Matagi in the starting forward pack.
The Vulcans, coming off three straight losses, face a stern challenge from a Knights side running third in the competition starting this round.
Included in their line-up are two very familiar faces in brothers Siuatonga and Toka Likiliki, both former Vodafone Junior Warriors (Siuatonga also made one NRL appearance for the club in 2009).
