A poor opening game to the 2013 NYC campaign seems a distant memory now as the Vodafone Junior Warriors prepare to face the Gold Coast Titans in their eighth-round clash at Mount Smart Stadium oday (11.45am kick-off; game day sponsor: DEWALT).

The nature of the 8-46 loss to Parramatta was among the heaviest for the club as the competition kicked off its sixth season.

Since then more regular transmission has resumed, a last-minute 20-24 loss to the Sydney Roosters followed by an unbeaten run against Cronulla (24-20), North Queensland (25-6), South Sydney (46-14), Canberra (22-22) and Melbourne (36-20).

The series of results has the Vodafone Warriors running comfortably in seventh spot on nine points, just one point behind a group of three teams.

Today they face the competitions bottom-placed side, the Titans showing just one win so far this season.

The Vodafone Junior Warriors have been forced to make a change, second rower Adam Tuimavave-Gerrard ruled out with a shoulder injury. In his absence, Stedman Lefau moves off the bench to start in the second row and Eric Newbigging comes onto the interchange.

Theres also a change to the starting line-up with James Taylor going to the bench and Sam Lisone starting in the front row.
