With the Vodafone Warriors kicking off their preseason proper this morning, there are just 37 days left until their trials programme starts including matches in Hamilton and Dunedin ahead of their 2013 NRL campaign.
The schedule begins against Gold Coast at Pizzey Park, Burleigh Heads, on Saturday, February 9 (5.15pm kick-off local time), the same day the NRL year is kick-started with the annual NRL All Stars v Indigenous All Stars match, this year being played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane for the first time (7.00pm kick-off local time).
A week later the Vodafone Warriors have their first trial of the year in New Zealand and their only one in the North Island when they meet Penrith at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton on Saturday, February 16 (4.00pm kick-off) while the final 2013 trial is against Brisbane at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday, February 23 (7.30pm kick-off), the first time NRL football has ever been played in Dunedin.

Back together again today after a short Christmas-New Year break, the Vodafone Warriors have returned to Mount Smart Stadium where they have a schedule consisting of a field session, recovery, strength and a pool session.
Tomorrow theyll be at Mairangi Bay, beginning with a field session at Mairangi Bay Park in Maxwelton Drive at 9.30am, followed by a recovery session at Mairangi Bay beach at 11.00am and strength later at Mount Smart Stadium. The squad trains again at Mount Smart on Saturday morning.
The Gold Coast trial will be Matthew Elliotts first game as Vodafone Warriors head coach and may also provide an opportunity for ex-Titans centre-winger Dominique Peyroux to make his Vodafone Warriors debut against his former club.
On the same day Konrad Hurrell, Shaun Johnson, Feleti Mateo or Ben Matulino will be playing for the NRL All Stars in Brisbane; theyre the four players in contention to become the Vodafone Warriors representative in the Wayne Bennett-coached side (the public select a player from each club).
