Vodafone Warriors utility Chanel Harris-Tavita says he and his teammates have to stop feeling sorry for themselves as they prepare for Saturday's clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Central Coast Stadium.

"I agree with (coach) Todd (Payten). Not enough of us got our jobs done against the Storm last week," he said.

" We didn't stand up in the tough times last week. We have to get that right.

"It's mentally tough for us not being with our families but we've been in this position for nearly three months now. We can't sit here and just feel sorry for ourselves. We've got to perform. That's our job and that's what we're here for."

Harris-Tavita made his first appearance since the season resumed last Friday, playing a lot more minutes than planned after being called on to replace starting hooker Karl Lawton after just 14 minutes.

After his 66-minute stint he said was keen to play anywhere with senior halves Blake Green and Kodi Nikorima in front of him.
