Of the 43 players used by the Vodafone Junior Warriors this year, no fewer than 25 made their under-20 debuts in what is the NYC's 10th and final season.

The vast majority of the newcomers were 17-year-olds while there were others - like Dylan Tavita, Preston Riki and Elijah Sufia - who had made only a handful of appearances in their debut campaigns in 2016.

The team's lack of experience was further emphasised by the fact just one player - co-captain Chris Sio - brought up the 50-game milestone for the Vodafone Junior Warriors during the campaign (Erin Clark went past the 50 mark with appearances he made for Canberra).

In a challenging season, Kane Telea was again the Vodafone Junior Warriors' top points- scorer, his tally of 84 points taking his NYC career total to 212 in two seasons.

Despite a season-ending injury, wing Lewis Soosemea was the top try scorer with nine followed by Telea and Melino Fineanganofo with eight each.

Chris Sio had the most matches with 23.

  • The table below lists matches, tries, goals and points for the 2017 season and overall career statistics.
