The Vodafone Warriors’ “grand final” footy clinic, our last clinic of the year, is fast approaching with the October school holidays just around the corner.

For kids with dreams of becoming future Vodafone Warriors or Kiwi Ferns this is your opportunity.

For those aged 7-13 years old, there’ll be a two-day clinic on Tuesday, October 3 and Wednesday, October 4 while those aged 7-10 will have a clinic on Tuesday, October 10 and Wednesday, October 11.

The clinics are focused on the life of an ultimate Vodafone Warrior, providing an insight into what is required of a professional rugby league athlete playing in an NRL season.

The first clinic in April had a “preseason” theme when the kids were put through fitness tests and season preparation while the “midseason” clinic in July focused on game play and skills for the ‘grand final’.

The clinics have been led by Vodafone Warriors club ambassadors as well as Kiwi Ferns Teuila Fotu-Moala and Langi Veainu.

The October clinic will have similar features by starting the day off right with a Hubbard’s breakfast before moving on to rugby league skills and an exclusive tour of the stadium and the club’s gym and changing sheds.

Highlights will include giving the young athletes a chance to embrace their competitive and sportsmanship side when they are divided into teams for team spirit-oriented activities such as creating team chants and then playing off in a mini game tournament.

To end the clinic all participants will be given a prize pack and awarded certificates at a prizegiving where MVPs will be announced.

The July participants had a blast, so make sure you register for the ‘grand final’ today! It’s not too late.
