Young hooker Nathaniel Roache has been ruled out of the Vodafone Warriors’ 24th-round NRL clash against South Sydney at ANZ Stadium on Friday (6.00pm kick-off local time; 8.00pm NZT).

The 21-year-old went down with a leg injury during the team's field session ahead of departing for Sydney this afternoon.

The full extent of the injury is yet to be confirmed.

Roache was set to make his third appearance after returning from a hamstring injury he picked up against Manly in Perth on July 1.

For the second week running he was set to start at hooker with the experienced Issac Luke switched to the interchange bench.
