Details

‘Light it orange for Shine’ to support our match day charity when we host defending 2016 NRL champions the Cronulla Sharks.

Shine is an acronym for ‘Safer Homes in New Zealand Everyday’.

The organisation’s mission is to stop domestic violence abuse. Through its frontline services, it directly helps thousands of adult and child victims every year to become safe and stay safe.

Funds raised on Friday night will go directly to the Shine Foundation for its practical and innovative services.

Shine and Vodafone Warriors membership council members will be giving out glow sticks at the gates and in the stands in exchange for a donation.

At halftime, be prepared for a blacked-out stadium when you will be asked to wave your glow sticks before an epic fireworks display.

Visit the Harvey Norman Community Zone and take part in a Shine activity - "Hit the bag, not your partner” - and be in to win prizes.

Another game day feature will be our $11.00 fish and chips combo (save $2.00) while there will be loads of speciality food outlets open as usual.

Look out for the ever-popular mini-mod games, the Canterbury of New Zealand T-shirt cannon, the official Ray White Coin Toss and much more.

Harvey Norman Community Fun Zone

As always, the Harvey Norman Community Fun Zone will be pumping with plenty of fun activities for the kids.

The Vodafone Warriors have partnered with Tu Kaha Foundation in a fantastic initiative - a state of the art mobile classroom in a big truck. It'll be in the Harvey Norman Community Fun Zone on Friday night. Come along and walk through it. You'll be amazed.

Interactive activities will be available so parents and children at the game can get an early insight into this exciting development.

The Vodafone Warriors are combining with the Tu Kaha Foundation to take its values programme to decile one schools around the country with a specific focus on rural areas.

The programme aims to help year 5-9 children to make the best decisions possible in life by focusing on a solid value base delivered through a curriculum enhanced by the endorsement of Vodafone Warriors players and management.

The mobile classroom will be onsite at the Game this Friday and interactive activities will be available so parents and children at the game can get an early insight into this exciting new initiative.

Also on in the Harvey Norman Community Fun Zone will be the Canterbury of New Zealand tackle bag “hit the bag, not your partner” campaign in support of Shine. Look out for it and have a shot at winning some prizes.
