Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad's father presented him with his debut NRL jersey earlier today in front of family, team-mates and coaching staff.

Nicoll-Klokstad's dad shared some stories about his son's rugby league journey with those in attendance; starting as a four-year-old, moving over to Melbourne from Auckland and representing the Cook Islands.

He expressed his gratitude to the club for giving his son an opportunity to chase his dream.

The club's 2016 ISP player of the year will become Vodafone Warrior #218 when he runs on to Mt Smart Stadium for this Sunday's round nine match against the Sydney Roosters.
