Vodafone Warriors fans are being encouraged to take advantage of Auckland’s rail network to get to Mt Smart Stadium for Friday night’s clash with the Melbourne Storm.

Train travel to and from Mt Smart Stadium for Friday night games this year on Auckland’s rail service is free for members and fans.

The free travel period officially starts three hours before the 8pm kick off of the first-grade game and ends at the completion of the rail service.

To take advantage of this initiative, members simply need to show their membership card upon request while casual fans will be asked to show a valid ticket for the match in question. The free train service is also open to corporate members and guests too.

For those wishing to utilise the service, the walk from Penrose station at Mt Smart Stadium to Gate A on Maurice Rd is a little under a kilometre while the journey through the O’Rorke Rd carpark to Gate B is 1.1km.
