Eight different players delivered a rare goal-kicking masterclass in yesterday’s three matches played at Mount Smart Stadium.

Across the NRL, NYC and Intrust Super Premiership matches a total of 168 points were scored including a combined tally of 28 tries.

Remarkably the kickers on display didn’t miss one shot at goal, many of them from wide angles.

Issac Luke and Ata Hingano struck four from four between them in the Vodafone Warriors' NRL game while Wests Tigers winger Jordan Rankin had six from six.

In the NYC curtain-raiser, Junior Pauga and Dylan Tavita nailed all four shots for the home side as did Roman Ioelu for the Tigers.

And in the ISP encounter, Mason Lino was perfect for the Vodafone Warriors with four from four as was Zach Dockar-Clay with six out of six for Penrith.

In other quirks the NRL and ISP matches produced identical losing score-lines of 24-36 for the Vodafone Warriors while each of the club’s three teams finished with team totals of 24 points.

In scoring the NR side’s fourth try in the 62nd minute, right wing Tuimoala Lolohea had the distinction of bringing up the Vodafone Warriors’ 2000th try in what was the club’s 537th match across 22 seasons. Phil Blake famously scored the first in the debut appearance against Brisbane on March 10, 1995.
