Vodafone Warriors hooker Issac Luke is to have surgery on a knee injury which will sideline him for a month.

The 29-year-old veteran picked up the injury late in last Saturday’s 20-16 golden point win over Penrith at Mount Smart Stadium.

It’s hoped Luke, who will have arthroscopic surgery early next week, will be back for the club’s final regular season match against the Parramatta Eels at Mount Smart Stadium on Sunday, September 4.

Luke won’t travel with the team for Sunday’s 22nd-round NRL clash against Gold Coast in Robina (2.00pm kick-off local time; 4.00pm NZT).

Jazz Tevaga, originally selected to play for the club’s Intrust Super Premiership side in Wyong on Saturday, has been added to the squad while Nathaniel Roache was named on the interchange on Tuesday.

The 2016 rookies have both been used at hooker this season. Tevaga has playing nine games so far while Roache has made seven appearances.
