Apart from players selected for the Kiwis and Junior Kiwis, the Vodafone Warriors have another seven players on representative duty for Mate Ma’a Tonga, Toa Samoa and the Intrust Super Premiership NSW Residents this weekend.
The NRL’s representative weekend kicks off at Hunter Stadium in Newcastle on Friday night with the Kangaroos again hosting the Anzac Test, the first time Australia and New Zealand have met since last year’s edition when the Kiwis won the fixture for only the second time.
In the curtain-raiser the Jillaroos face the Kiwi Ferns in a one-off women’s international.
Parramatta’s Pirtek Stadium will stage a tripleheader international feast on Saturday night starting with the Junior Kangaroos facing the Junior Kiwis at 3.15pm (5.15pm NZT), followed by Papua New Guinea taking on Fiji at 5.35pm (7.35pm NZT) and Mate Ma’a Tonga against Toa Samoa at 7.40pm (9.40pm NZT).
There are two more representative matches on Sunday, the Intrust Queensland and New South Wales sides clashing at Langlands Park in Brisbane at 1.40pm (3.40pm NZT) and Country Origin meeting City Origin in Tamworth at 4.10pm (6.10pm NZT).
Tonga’s side features Vodafone Warriors David Fusitu’a at fullback and Solomone Kata in the centres while the Samoans have selected Erin Clark and Mason Lino in their squad.
Three Vodafone Warriors – wing Ken Maumalo, centre Matt Allwood and second rower Shaun Lane – are in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW side.
Another two players from the club - Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Levi McBirney - had been selected for the Cook Islands to face Lebanon at Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday.
